New Jersey
Car Shipping To and From New Jersey
New Jersey sits between New York City and Philadelphia, with the New Jersey Turnpike running up the middle. We ship cars in and out of the state for dealers and drivers from our desk near Charlotte, NC.
- North Jersey, Central Jersey and South Jersey
- Dealer trades and auction pickups
- Driver and truck confirmed before pickup
Shipping a car in the Garden State
The New Jersey Turnpike runs the length of the state, from the Delaware Memorial Bridge to the George Washington Bridge, and the Garden State Parkway runs down the coast toward Cape May. I-80 and I-78 cross North Jersey from Pennsylvania toward New York, I-287 loops through the suburbs, and I-295 runs along the Delaware River past Trenton, the capital, and Camden.
That road network puts a lot of carriers through the state. Pickups and deliveries in Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Edison, New Brunswick, Trenton, Cherry Hill and the Shore towns are routine. In tight city blocks, a full-size carrier may need a wider street or a lot nearby to load, so tell us about parking at the address and we plan around it.
Dealers in North, Central and South Jersey
New Jersey dealers deal with two big markets on either side, plus their own. We move dealer trades between stores, bring auction buys back to the lot, deliver sold cars to customers in other states, and haul fleet, rental and off-lease units. When you need several cars from one sale, we can book them together. See moving multiple cars from one auction.
Many dealers keep us as the second call when their regular carrier cancels. Either way, you get one contact for the whole order. Send the VIN, the release and both addresses to the dealer desk, or read about dealer group inventory transfers.
Personal cars leaving or coming to New Jersey
We ship cars for people moving to or from New Jersey, buyers picking up a car from a seller in another state, retirees who spend the winter in Florida, and families with a student at Rutgers or Princeton. One car across the state or across the country is the same process.
Most cars ride on an open carrier. For a classic, exotic or high-value car, ask for an enclosed trailer. Our open vs. enclosed guide explains the difference.
How it works, step by step
- You send the pickup and drop-off, the vehicle and the date it is ready, by the quote form, email or phone.
- A real person prices the move. There is no instant quote.
- We vet the carrier, confirm the driver and truck, and confirm the pickup and expected delivery windows before dispatch.
- If plans change on the road, we tell you first.
- You follow the order in the client portal at fctorders.com and download the delivery BOL when the car arrives. See what a bill of lading is.

New Jersey car shipping questions
Can the carrier pick up on a narrow city street?
Sometimes. A full-size carrier needs room to load. Tell us about the street and parking, and if the truck cannot fit, we arrange a nearby spot where it can load safely.
Do you ship from South Jersey near Philadelphia?
Yes. We ship from Camden, Cherry Hill and the rest of South Jersey, as well as North Jersey, Central Jersey and the Shore.
Do you have a New Jersey location?
No. We are based near Charlotte, NC and ship anywhere in the continental U.S. Our desk books the carrier and stays in touch until the car is delivered.
Can dealers book several cars at once?
Yes. Send the list of VINs with pickup and drop-off details, and we book them together where the route allows.
