Dealer trades
Dealer Trade Transport Across North and South Carolina
You found the unit at another store. We get it onto your lot. Send the two addresses and the VIN, and we match a vetted carrier and confirm the pickup window with both stores.
- Store to store moves across NC and SC
- Both legs of a swap handled on one order
- Open or enclosed, fully insured
Keep your people on the floor
A lot of dealer trades still get done by sending a porter or a salesperson to drive the car back, often with a second employee following to bring them home. That is two people off the floor for half a day, fuel and tolls, and miles on a unit you are about to sell.
Putting the trade on a truck keeps your staff at the store and the odometer where it is. The car arrives at your lot, you check it in, and your team never left the building.
Trade lanes we cover in the Carolinas
We are based near Charlotte, and the Carolinas are home turf. Common dealer trade lanes include:
- Charlotte and the Triangle: Charlotte to Raleigh, Durham and Cary along I-85 and I-40.
- The Triad: Greensboro and Winston-Salem up I-85 and I-40.
- The Upstate: Charlotte to Greenville and Spartanburg down I-85.
- The Midlands: Rock Hill and Columbia down I-77.
- The mountains and the coast: Asheville on I-40 and I-26, and Wilmington at the east end of I-40.
Trades outside the Carolinas work the same way. We ship dealer vehicles anywhere in the continental U.S.
How a dealer trade move works
- Send the trade. Both store addresses, a contact at each, and the VIN of every car moving. If it is a swap, send both units and we build it as one order.
- We match a carrier. A vetted, fully insured carrier running that lane, on an open trailer for everyday inventory or enclosed for specialty units.
- We confirm the window. Both stores know when the truck is coming before it is dispatched.
- Updates until delivered. Your contact keeps you posted until the car is checked in on your lot.
The paperwork between stores stays between stores. We handle the transport and keep both sides informed.
Open or enclosed for a trade
Most trade units ride on open carriers, which is the everyday choice for new and used inventory. When the car is an exotic, a high-line unit or a vehicle your customer is watching closely, enclosed transport keeps it out of weather and road debris the whole way. Not sure which fits? Our open vs enclosed guide lays out the difference, or just ask when you call.
A backup for your regular hauler
If you already have a carrier you trust, keep them. We are the number to call when they cannot make it, when the trade has to happen today, or when the other store is outside their range. One point of contact, vetted carriers and fully insured shipments on every move. See how the dealer desk works, or read more about our services for franchise and independent dealers.
Dealer trade questions
Can you move both cars in a dealer swap?
Yes. Send both VINs and both store addresses and we set up both legs on one order with one point of contact.
What information do you need for a dealer trade?
The pickup and drop-off store addresses, a contact at each store, the VIN of each car, whether it runs, and when it is ready.
Do you only do trades inside North and South Carolina?
No. The Carolinas are our home lanes, but we move dealer trades anywhere in the continental U.S.
How do I know when the trade will arrive?
We confirm the pickup window before dispatch and keep you updated until the car is delivered to your lot.
