Charlotte to Orlando
Car Shipping Between Charlotte and Orlando
Charlotte to Orlando is one of our longer regular lanes, running the coastal I-95 corridor before cutting inland on I-4 to Central Florida.
- I-95 south, then I-4 inland
- Snowbirds, students and Florida moves
- One contact from quote to drop-off
Down I-95, across on I-4
An Orlando load follows the same start as our Jacksonville lane: I-77 to Columbia, I-26 toward the coast, then I-95 south past Savannah and Jacksonville. At Daytona Beach the truck leaves I-95 for I-4 and heads southwest into Central Florida.
We deliver across greater Orlando: downtown, Winter Park, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, Sanford, Lake Mary, Oviedo, Winter Garden and Clermont. If the car is headed to the Gulf side instead, I-4 continues on to Tampa.
Who ships a car from Charlotte to Orlando
Snowbirds and second homes. Carolinas residents who spend winters in Central Florida ship a car down in the fall and back in the spring. Some keep a car at a Florida condo and ship the other one between homes.
Relocations and students. Families moving to Central Florida for work or retirement ship cars rather than drive two. Students at UCF and Rollins have a car sent to campus.
Fleet, rental and dealer units. We move rental and fleet vehicles and dealer inventory into and out of the Orlando market, several units at once when needed.
How an Orlando order runs
Send the pickup address, the Florida address, the car and whether it runs. Someone on our desk prices it by hand. After you book, we vet the carrier, confirm the driver and truck, and give you the pickup window and the expected delivery window before the truck leaves Charlotte.
While the car is on I-95, you can see the driver's location in the client portal at fctorders.com. You log in with your email and a 6-digit code instead of a password. All your orders sit in one list, and the delivery BOL is there after drop-off. If anything changes on the way down, the call comes from us.
Trailer type for Central Florida
Most cars go to Orlando on an open trailer. Classic, exotic and high-value cars, often the ones headed for a winter home, can ride enclosed. A non-running car can be moved with different equipment; tell us before we book.
